YOUR STAY
Arrival
We will send you codes for the key boxes and directions shortly before you are due to arrive. Keys are available in the lock box which is situated outside of the ski store. The ski store is down the steps on the road side of the property. There is one labelled house and one labelled apartment. Check in time is anytime from 15.00 (3pm) but please let us know if you want to arrive earlier and we can check that the property will be ready for you then.
When you arrive or the following day if it’s late, please call Mateja (00 386 41 691 132) and she will come and take some details from you (passports/ID cards) so that she can register you with the police. This is a requirement in Slovenia.
Departure
Please strip beds of bedding, empty the rubbish to the bins outside (particularly kitchen and bathroom waste) and leave the house and/or apartment in a reasonable state of cleanliness before your departure. Please check out time before 10.00 (10am). Late check out (after 10.00 – 10am) is charged 20€. Please leave the keys in the lock box where you found them.
Parking
The parking area is in front of the house and is suitable for two cars – one space for each apartment. If you will have more than one car in your party let us know and we can tell you if the other space is available at that time or not and therefore whether both of your cars can be parked at the house. Additional parking is available a short walk away in the main square of Podkoren or the road running west out of Podkoren to the main road. Please be considerate of other guests in the way that you use the parking area at the house.
Bedrooms and Linen
You will find main beds made up and bedding for sofa beds if you have told us that you will require them. Bath towels, hand towels and bathmats are provided as well as tea towels in the kitchen. Our duvets contain feathers, please let us know if you require an alternative. We also provide decent hairdryers.
Welcome items
In the kitchen, we provide some tea, coffee, sugar, milk so you can have a drink when you arrive. In addition, there should be bin liners in the bin and dishwasher tablets (one for each day of your stay). There should also be a cloth and washing up liquid in the dispenser. In the bathrooms, there are dispensers of a combined body wash and shampoo and loo rolls so please help yourself to these.
Heating
The heating should have been adjusted to a comfortable temperature prior to your arrival. Each radiator has an individual thermostat so you can adjust the temperature in each room. Please do not adjust the main thermostat.
Outdoor Footwear/Equipment
We ask you to please respect the flooring in the chalet by cleaning / removing any outdoor footwear before entry. Please do not under any circumstances enter in ski boots.
Rubbish
Slovenia is big on recycling so please sort your rubbish and dispose of accordingly. There is a village rubbish and recycling centre just a couple of minutes walk from Hisa Miha next to Podkoren Church. You can also dispose of rubbish at the house in the bins provided as follows:
Yellow bin – plastic packaging, empty milk and juice cardboard packaging, Styrofoam packaging, food wrappers including foil.
Green bin – mixed waste but no glass.
Please leave any glass in the separate box next to the bin.
Breakages
Please make us aware of any breakages or damages as soon as they occur and so we can organise replacements as soon as possible.
Security
Please close and lock windows and doors on exiting the house or apartment and ensure that you close the front doors securely behind you. If you have any concerns about security or see anything which gives any cause for alarm or suspicion please contact Mateja Berce or the police (number below).
Common Areas
Please show respect for other guests by leaving common areas (parking and terrace) exactly as you found them and free of any of your belongings.
Small Children
A baby travel cot is available for guests to use on a first come first served basis and there are also high chairs. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use them. There is also plastic cutlery, bowls and plates for children.
Technology
The house and apartment are each equipped with cable TV with a range of international channels as well as wifi and USB charging points by most of the beds. The wifi code is in a frame in the seating area of the house or apartment. There is also a washing machine in the house and the apartment.
Terrace
There is a terrace area which can be used by both the house and apartment. There is a table and chairs in the ski store which can be taken outside. Please put the chairs inside when not in use so that they do not get stolen. The table can be placed just outside the ski store.
Smoking
Please note that Hisa Miha is strictly non-smoking.
Neighbours
Please be considerate towards our neighbours and keep noise down between 23.00 and 08.00 (11pm and 8am).
